This world was developed for the series beginning with The Vertical City, but I’ve recently added plans for a historical, self contained prequel. Although I wrote a first draft of The Vertical City, I’m currently reworking it entirely and the plot will heavily change.

Kai lived a quiet life repairing magical appliances for the rich until his closest friend, and the only elite he could stand, went missing. But not everyone wants Elli found. Kai teams up with Elli’s best friend and his frenemy, Ashwe of the powerful Telenner family, to uncover just who is plotting against her and why. Their search will take them both deeper in the canyon city and higher in a conspiracy bigger than they ever imagined.

The Wilds Untamed

Discovering portals changed the shape of the Great War, fueling further bloodshed with a treasure trove of raw resources and an arms race of magic. Shayana volunteers to use her elite class magic reserves to aid the war efforts, only to find herself cut off from home. The answer to save her nation is out there, if she can just survive long enough to find it.
